An R.O. Costs more than $400...You Can Get an Aquasana for $99

Look, you know we are prejudice because we sell the aquasana water filters. But truthfully, before I started working with Water Filters USA, I was the proud owner of a $450 R.O. filter! Sure I knew that R.O. water like distilled water had to have minerals added to it, so I have used celtic sea salt. The reason for this is that these two types of water help to leach the body of it's natural minerals, and that's not a good thing :-)

I probably would have gone a long time is this way had I not discovered the inexpensive aquasana. How could not, I work here. But, you figure that when you have spent a lot of money on something, then it's really tough to say, " I made mistake, and now I have to spend more money."

The reason I am writing this post, honestly, is that I like to surf around the net to see what's going on in the water filter business. Today I came across an R.O. for $799! This really got me thinking. See, there is no comparison you know, both in the type of water you get and the cost between the two, is there? The Aquasana AQ-4000 Countertop Water Filter normally retails for $119.00 and we sell it for $99.99. Click on the link above and check it out. You will save money if you buy bottled water too, at 10 cents a gallon vs whatever you now pay. Aquasana leaves in the good minerals, so there is your big difference to the expensive R.O.

How can a filter that lets in "good" minerals, distinguish between those and the "bad" ones like lead and arsenic? And even a "good" mineral can be toxic if there is too much of it in my water supply that gets through, right?

Aurelia,

It depends on which system you are referring to. The RO Systems remove all minerials from the water, whether good or bad. If you are referring to the Aquasana Aq-4000, it does not remove minerals. Lead and Arsenic are not minerals. Lead is a heavy metal, in which ATS, one of the filtering medias used in the AQ-4000, will remove. Arsenic will require an RO for removal.
