We love it
Wednesday 22 July, 2009
We really love our new whole house water filter. It has made such a difference! No more chlorine smell or other chemical smell or taste in the shower or the sink. The water is crystal clear and tastes great! I grew up in Mt Shasta, CA and our water came from an artesian well that was pure snow runoff from the mountain. It was the purest, best water I have ever tasted! Now that we have your filter system, yours actually comes close. It was easy to install and even easier to operate. I really like the fact that I won’t have to change the filter for 6 months, and won’t have to change the charcoal in the main unit for 1,000,000 gallons. That is just Awesome!!! Thanks again for such a great product and we look forward to years and years of pure water usage. Most Sincerely, Adam Ratley, Capt, USAF Retired.

Enjoying our Pelican
Wednesday 22 July, 2009
We are thoroughly enjoying our Pelican system. We expect it to pay for itself relatively quickly, as we immediately stopped buying bottled water. Our showers also now are much more enjoyable and "feel" better. This is a great product, and I am amazed at how long the charcoal will last. The pre-filter changes are simple and not onerous. Installation was not particularly expensive, either.
All in all, a wonderful decision. It's hard to imagine going back
now. There is nothing like the freedom of simply turning the tap and getting great-tasting, safe water.
Sincerely,
Jack Byrd

Local law changes outlawed conventional water softeners in my area so after researching many different systems on the internet, I settled with yours based upon the customer satisfaction and the excellent ratings your system has earned worldwide.
Well, here are photos of my do-it-yourself install. I contacted local installers but after contacting your tech support department who provided me excellent support like I have never experienced before I decided to do-it-myself. After consulting youtube for instructional videos on how to sweat copper fittings (be careful and watch more than one video) I tackled the job myself. I had to do a little re-routing since my main water inlet is on the right but it worked out great. I also included earthquake safety straps and some foam to secure the install incase the earth starts movin". Couldn't have done it without your tech support department. They were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, available and not bothered by my multiple phone calls. That alone is worth the price.

Thanks for your assistance

Earlier today I spoke with Richie, in your customer service department. I was looking to order more o-rings for my NS-3 water softener, installed in March of 2008.
My problem was that when I went to change the pre-filter, the o-ring in the pre-filter housing seemed to have stretched, and did not fit in the groove as it should - it seemed to be about a half inch too large in circumference. Richie was patient and suggested putting the old o-ring in the refrigerator to see if it would shrink enough to fit, until the o-rings I ordered arrived. I put the o-ring in the freezer for about 10 minutes and it WORKED!!! It did shrink enough to just fit into the groove of the pre-filter housine. Thank goodness, for I had to shut off the water line that supplies my house, and without the pre-filter installed, no house water! Richie even went the extra mile, called me back and told me he has gotten permission to overnight express the o-rings I purchased. I am grateful.
On another note, last week I was leaving my local HomeDepot, and saw an older gentleman pushing a cart with 8 40-pounds bags of salt stacked on it. I truly felt for him, since that was me less than 2 years ago (before my double knee replacements). I spoke with him, a Mr. Margent, and asked if he knew about the NaturSoft softening system that didn't use salt, rather used nano-technology. He never heard of it and was very interested, since he had back surgery and had trouble carrying the bags of salt. I got his email address and sent him your website, as well as another that compares pros & cons of different ways to soften water of which your system is highly rated. I also gave him the distributor for this area, D&J Construction out of Woodbridge in case he wanted to investigate further.
In economic times like these, companies like yours, who have employees like Richie that care about their customers, make a big difference to people like me who are much more particular about how they spend their money. Your product is so cost-effective that people have to be nuts not to replace their salt based water softeners with the NaturSoft system. I really wish your company did more publicizing, so folks are aware of an alternative to the traditional salt-based water softening systems.

I'm happy with my Pelican
Wednesday 15 July, 2009
The water in my area (So Calif.) tastes horrible, plus it is very hard (40 gr.). So when I bought a brand new house a month ago, the first thing I wanted to do was install the best (as well as salt-free)whole house water conditioning filter. I started comparing water systems on the market, including a local competitor, Life Source. After much research & several calls to Mark in customer service (who was very good at answering all my questions), I decided on the Pelican PSE2000 Whole House Water Filter and Softener, with pre- & post-filters.
And I am glad I did! The water is delicious to drink & my capuccinos taste great. Glassware is not covered with a hard water film. Bathing & laundry are a pleasure with soft water. My glass showers stalls just get a daily misting with shower cleaner & look good. As is stated, there are still mineral spots that collect where water pools or splashes (like my stainless steel sink), but they clean off with minimal effort.
There are some additional expenses to consider: professional installation of the system in my garage cost around $500, including materials. Then I hired a drywaller to patch the hole in the garage wall. The total cost is still less than the price of the Life Source unit alone.
Now, I am looking forward to years of hassle-free enjoyment of good tasting, healthy soft water. Also, there's the benefit of keeping my pipes & Rinnai tankless heater clear of mineral deposits. And no salt is used, so the technology is "Green". That's a lot of pluses; and I am very pleased.
